Her Majesty The Queen

Her Majesty (HM) The Queen of Denmark Margrethe Alexandrine Porhildur Ingrid is born on 16 April 1940 in Denmark and became Queen of Denmark in 1972. HM The Queen is the daughter of King Frederik the 9th (death 1972) and Queen Ingrid, born princess of Sweden (death 2000).

The Royal Couple have two sons: HRH Crown Prince Frederik André Henrik Christian and HRH Prince Joachim Holger Waldemar Christian.

Her Majesty (HM) The Queen of Denmark resides in Christian IX’s Palace at Amalienborg in the winter term, while the residence in the spring and autumn is at Fredensborg Palace. The summer term is spent at Marselisborg Palace, Gråsten Palace, Her Danish Majesty’s Yacht Dannebrog as well as Château de Cayx.
